Police claim to have identified DC involved in Durga Nagar sex scam | | | Kishtwar, Apr 24: Police today claimed to have identified the deputy commissioner (DC), who was allegedly involved in the Durga Nagar sex scam. While his name was kept a secret, police sources said the minor girl was repeatedly raped by the DC at his residence at Chhani Himmat, Jammu. The girl was sent to the DC's residence by the alleged sex racket kingpin Santosha Devi, the sources added. Sources, however, said that police would act only after the proper identification of the accused by the 15 year old victim. Sources said that police were trying to get the picture of the accused DC so that the same could be shown to the victim for identification. Sources said that after the surfacing of high profile names in the flesh trade racket, senior police officers were personally monitoring the investigation in the case. Sources said that police had already launched a hunt to arrest the accused who was earlier released on bail after submitting the fake Date of Birth document in the court in which the victim was shown as a major instead of a minor. Meanwhile, police today allowed the girl's maternal uncle to meet her in the presence of senior police officer inside police station, Kishtwar. This was the first time since March 2, 2011, when the girl's abduction report was lodged at Police Post, Padyarna, that someone from her family had met her. |
