| RTI Movement lauds role of G R Sufi | | | Jammu , Apr 25: J&K RTI Movement lauded the role of Chief Information Commissioner G R Sufi by pronouncing a historic judgment on declaring J&K Bank a public authority. "We hail the decision of State Information Commission full bench which gave such a bold decision" said Convener of J&K RTI Movement Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat . He described the decision as historic one and lauded the role of Chief Information Commissioner G R Sufi for his restless efforts to make RTI an institution of transparency and accountability in J&K.
We hope that J&K Bank will now designate Public Information Officers (PIO's) in all it branches across J&K so as to ensure implementation of RTI Act by this organization Dr Muzaffar added.
RTI Movement co founder Dr Sheikh Ghulam Rasool , Shahnawaz Sultan Organiser and Mohammad Ramzan Khan secretary have also hailed this decision of State Information Commission. |
