Govt to enact law to protect temples in Kashmir

JAMMU, Apr 25: Expressing concern over temple encroachment in the Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir government today said it is in the process of enacting a law to protect the Hindu shrines. "The Government is enacting a law to protect Hindu shrines and temples in Kashmir from being misused by unscrupulous elements," PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control minister Taj Mohi ud Din said during an interaction with a deputation of Kashmiri Pandits here. It is a matter of concern that some people were forcibly occupying these temples and later selling them, he said
