| Tempo union up in arms against transport commissioner | | | | JAMMU, Apr 25: All India Taxi, Sumo, Tempo Union has condemned action of Transport Commissioner for canceling notification of taxi, sumo stand given to the union a month earlier opposite Divine Lodge without assigning any reason. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a meeting of the working Committee of All India Taxi, sumo, Tempo Union was held today wherein they took note of the fact that an illegal stand run by Mafia and Goons at Vaishno Dham for the last so many years, which was formed by converting a public pan by the Mafia and Goons into a Taxi stand forcibly. The committee has alleged that government is openly helping goons and Mafia. It has further stressed that transport commissioner should have closed/stopped the illegal Taxi stands run by the Mafia and goons from the places of notified Taxi stands, so that the poor passengers were saved from these persons as per the direction of High Court. |
