Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 25: Set amidst the verdant coniferous woods of Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Vaishnodevi cave shrine will have a helipad to facilitate landing of MI-17 choppers in Trikuta hills.
Governor N N Vohra today reviewed the under-construction helipad near Panchhi View point and observed that efforts must be made to ensure that this facility is of adequate size for the landing of MI-17 helicopters for an emergency evacuation situation. Vohra, who is chairman of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), was informed that the helipad and the approach road will be completed by July 2012.
The Governor also reviewed the status of the Material Rope way Project from Siar Dabri to Bhawan and Passenger Rope way from Bhawan to Bhairon Temple.
He said that an all out effort must be made to start work on these projects at the earliest after procuring all required clearances.
