| After rape accused escape police custody, ASI suspended | | | early times report
Kishtwar, Apr 25: Two days after two alleged rape accused escaped from police custody here, an ASI was today placed under suspension.
Shanawaz Hussain alias Bitta and Ghulam Hussain Dar, both alleged to be rape accused, had escaped while they were being taken to court by a police team led by ASI Mohammad Yasin.
Yasin was today placed under suspension and an FIR registered against him under sections 223 and 224 of RPC.
The escaped accused were yet to be apprehended by police. |
