| Nano Nagle Memorial Debate held at PCSS | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26 : The Annual Nano Nagle Memorial Debate was organised at Presentation Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gandhi Nagar here today.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dilbag Singh, IGP, Jammu Zone while Arun K.Gupta, Chairman, Institute of Public Opinion , was the guest of honour.
In all seven schools participated in this prestigious inter-school debate competition which was sponsored by the School alumni under the patronage of the alumni president, Poonam Kotwal.
The event was judged by Prof.Neelu Rohmetra Director, the Business School, University of Jammu, Dr Monica Sethi, Asst.Prof Dept. of English, University of Jammu and Jatinder Johar SP North. First position was bagged by Kasman Kour of Presentation Convent School while Tanya Khajuria and Apoorva Shekhar were judged second and third respectively. The coveted Nano Nagle Rolling Trophy was lifted by Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu. The chief guest in his address appreciated the views of all participants and lauded their efforts in maintaining high standards of oratory.
The Nano Nagle Memorial Debate is an annual feature of the school organised every year to keep alive the vision of the founders of the Presentation Congregation, Nano Nagle. |
