| Gujjar Bakarwal Board fails to revoke expulsion of students: GBSWA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 26: Gujjar Bakkerwal Student Welfare Association (GBSWA) has said that the Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar and Bakkerwal has failed to keep its assurance about revoking the expulsion of the 10 students from the Gujjar Hostel Jammu. Talib Hussain the state President of GBSWA appealed the civil society to come forward in the battle of the right to education.
GBSWA spokesperson stated that Vice Chairman, Bashir Naz and Warden Mushtaq Baji are adamant over expulsion of students. The statement said GBSWA held a fast unto death on the expulsion issue and it was suspended after the Minister for Social Welfare and DC Jammu visited the protesting students and assured to retain the student in the hostel. "But the authorities failed to keep their words even the ministers did not interfere in important issues, he added.
Now, GBSWA has decided to approach the High court which is the only hope of justice adding that 10 student were expelled by the warden the pretext of low percentage which is not a rule.
