| Sarpanch Upper Kote distributes cheques under IAY | | | Jammu, Apr 27: Sarpanch Upper Kote Prabakar Singh today distributed cheques worth of Rs 5 lakh to the people of Below Poverty Line (BPL) under Indira Awas Yojana and Rural Sanitation plan here today in a function.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch Prabakar Singh said that cheques have been disbursed for the construction of house for the poor families of his Panchayat constituency under IAY and for rural sanitation.
He said, "He has been working to the best of his capacity to come to the expectations of the people who have given him chance to represent them". "He is making all out efforts to ensure that the needy people of the Panchayat could get the benefits of welfare schemes of State and Central Govt", Singh assured. He appealed the Central and State Govts to enhance the amount of fund which has been released under various State and centrally sponsored schemes keeping in view of the increasing price rise.
The Sarpanch made a clarion call to the people of his Panchayat constituency to keep their surrounding clean and sanitized it properly. |
