| 'Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan' rally organized at Lakhanpur | | | KATHUA, Apr 27: In order to fulfill the aims of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), the Universalisation of Elementary Education a "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Rally" was organized by NSS unit of Vivekananda College of Education, Lakhanpur, here today. Dr Sudarshan Kumar Gupta Chairman Vivekananda College of Education flagged off the rally from Govt Middle School, Jandore. Led by Principal Vivekananda College of Education Dr Anju Sharma, the ralliest were received by Sardar Singh Sarpanch of the Village, Mohan Lal Naib Sarpanch, Rekha Devi and Baldev Raj Panchayat members, Neelam Goyal Headmistress and teachers of the school besides a large number of villagers . On the occasion Sardar Singh was the chief guest on the rally reception occasion where students presented a colourful cultural programme
Speaking on the occasion chief guest said that Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan aims to provide useful and relevant education to all children below 14 years by bridging the socio-economic, regional and gender gaps with the involvement of community in school management. Principal of the College Dr Anju Sharma in her address said SSA strives for fullest harnessing of potential of child. In the end Madhu Gupta Senior Lecturer of the college presented vote of thanks to gathering. |
