Police recruitment drive sought for Ramnagar, Majalta | | | early times report Udhampur/ Ramnagar, Apr 27: R.S. Pathania, a prominent lawyer and senior Youth Congress Vice-President while welcoming State govt.'s move to conduct recruitment drives at Reasi and Udhampur Tehsils has sought conduction of similar recruitment drives in Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils. He said employment rates and basic facilities as well as developmental scenario in Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils are far poor as compared to those in Reasi and Udhampur Tehsils. With a view to coping with the all-pervasive problem of unemployment in the area already stricken by vast terrain, hilly topography, militancy-infested conditions, administrative neglect and acute penury of the people living over there. Police recruitment drives for Ramnagar, Majalta Basantgarh, Khaned, Ponara, and other far-flung areas of Ramnagar and Majalta Tehsil are the need of the hour. He further said that the state government is conducting recruitment derives across the state in areas where the economic and educational status of people is already above par and recruitment drives have already been conducted over there. Whereas recruitment drive have not been conducted in Ramnagar & Majalta tehsils. Pathania further demanded connecting of Basantgarh-Khaned road to Macchedi/Lohai-Malhar in Kathua district and start work on Dudu to Kailash road thereby create an effective road-links for the peoples of three districts separated from each other by geographical barriers. He also sought provision of Ultra-sound and X-ray facilities in P.H.C. Basantgarh and a fresh C.H.C. at Dudu and allopathic dispensaries for Punara, Mang, Balota Upperla & Parla Chakal.
