| Two chain snatchers held at Lakhanpur | | | early times report
KATHUA, Apr 27: Two of the three motorcycle-borne youth, who today snatched gold chain from a woman at Bosain Morh here, were apprehended by police after a hot chase at Lakhanpur. Police sources said Ritu Sharma, wife of Rajesh Kumar of ward no 16, upper Shiva Nagar, was walking by the roadside at Bosain Morh when three youth came on a motorcycle (PB07/6966) and snatched her gold chain. Though she raised an alarm, the accused sped away. Soon after the matter came to their notice, cops swung into action and apprehended two of the accused at Lakhanpur, while they were going towards Punjab. They were identified as Kamal preet Singh, son of Gurba chan Singh, and Gagan deep Singh alias Goldi, son of Shankar Singh, both residents of Kantha in Dasua, Punjab. The third accused was yet to be identified. Police also recovered the woman's chain from their possession, the sources added. A case was registered against them at Kathua police station. |
