| 5 held for running fake Telecom Tower Const Co | | | RAJOURI: Five persons have been apprehended by police here today for allegedly running a fake telecom tower construction company in the district.
As per details, police were frequently receiving complaints that the representatives of fake company had been visiting rural areas of district Rajouri and carrying out fake surveys for installation of towers of private telecom companies, including aircel and airtel.
During surveys, they charge registration fee from people and assured them that after the installation of tower, they would receive about Rs 4 lakh as compensation and a employment would also be provided to one of their family members.
Acting on these inputs, police today raided the office of this company and arrested five persons, including a self-styled owner of this company (Guru Kripa Communication Pvt Ltd), and booked them under relevant sections of law.
The accused included company's self-styled owner Pardeep Singh, son of Balbir Singh, self-styled JE Balvinder Kapoor, son of Mustan Chand, Lakhwinder Singh, son of Chanan, Gurmukh Singh, son of Joginder Singh, all residents of Partap Singh Wala, Ludhiana, and Aftab Ahmed of Poonch. |
