5-day trainer development course concludes | | | JAMMU, Apr 28: A five days trainer development Course designed by DoPT, GoI in collaboration with Thames Valley University UK was organized by J&K Institute of Management and Public Administration w.e.f April, 23 to 27, 2012. The Programme was run under the course co-ordinator ship of Dr.Reva Sharma, Associate Professor, Rural Development who is the recognized trainer of DoPT, GoI. The programme was attended by 25 senior and middle level officers including SSPs, SPs, Dy. SPS from police Training Institute, Tehsildars from Revenue Training and HODs of DIET form Education Department. During the course of five days deliberations the participants were enabled to apply systematic approach to training starting with Training needs analysis design of training, implementation/delivery of training and finally evaluation of training. The various models of evaluation were discussed including the EOT Matrix, application of tools like learning log, Responsibility Mapping, Behavioural Analysis, Stakeholder analysis improvement teams, Bench marking, giving and receiving feedback were discussed and debated. Overall the progr amme was a concerted effort towards attainment of its objectives. District Development Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma was the chief guest on the valedictory function who distributed certificates amongst the participants. He emphasized the need for systematic continuous and saturation training for efficiency and effectiveness in the organizations. He also stressed upon the need to have pool of resource persons/trainers for every department to enhance the capacity building of professional which will further the effective implementation of our policies and programmes. |
