| DDC discusses forthcoming Amarnathji Yatra | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Apr 28 : The arrangements and preparedness for the forth-coming Amarnath Ji Yatra were reviewed by Shabir Ahmed, District Development Commissioner Ramban here today.
The meeting was attended among others by Sunil Sharm, SSP Traffic, NHA-I, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Parshotam Sharma, Addl. SP Ramban, Ghansham Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Rev) Ramban, Dr. Anwar Bhat, CMO, Ramban besides the other Officers of Army, Beacon, CRPF, CA&PD, PHE, PDD, PWD, Municipalities and NHA-I. During the course of meeting, a number of issues came up for discussion such as putting in place logistic facilities like langer at the identified site on the NH-1A from Patnitop to Jawahar Tunnel Sanitation, Medicines, makeshift toilets, water & availability of consumable items, electricity etc, besides adequate security arrangements for the langers as also for the community hall & shelter sheds to be used for Yatries.
The SSP, Traffic NHA-I was directed to take all measures and ensure smooth and peaceful movement of yatra. SP Ramban and the officers of Security forces were also directed to put in place all the security arrangements across the entire stretch of NHA-I from Jawahar tunnel to Patnitop.
The DDC Ramban directed the BRO Authorities to improve the condition of the road and remove the debris at all sites on the National Highway so that the movement of the traffic become easier. He was also directed to put in place recovery vans at Nashri, Ramsoo, Nowgam area. |
