Private agency accused of deceit, social organizations threaten agitation | Engagement of Nursing Orderlies | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 28: Shri Ram Sena Jammu-Kashmir, Mazdoor Dastkar Union and Rural Women Foundation jointly held a protest demonstration today in the premises of Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) against a private placement agency for allegedly deceiving innocent youth. Leaders of these three social organizations threatened to launch agitation from April 30, if the disengaged youth are not re-engaged. It is worth mentioning here that a few days ago JKSS Pvt. Ltd. invited applications from 8th pass candidates for the posts of Nursing Orderly and selected some candidates. Later the agency collected the uniform charges from the selected candidates and put them on duty of nursing orderlies for about one week. But the recruiting agency JKSS Pvt. Ltd after one week of selection disengaged the selected candidates with a plea that these posts of nursing orderly were meant only for the matriculates. Shri Ram Sena state president, Rajiv Mahajan, Mazdoor Dastkar Union Mahila state president, Pushpa Sharma and Rural Women Foundation president, Sunita Sharma alleged that the selection list has been cancelled under the pressure of some political leaders and top ranking officers in government to benefit their preferential candidates.Protesting leaders also met with Vice-Principal, GMC, Jammu Dr. Aniece Choudhary who assured the leaders to settle the issue within two days. Leaders also advised JKSS Pvt. Ltd not to play with the life of innocent youth and warned the agency to desist from fraudulent practices. |
