NC goes high tech | Will it serve any purpose? | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Having lost contact with the people across the State, the National Conference now intends to hook the people through internet. The party spokesman today said: "In furtherance to its commitment to reach out to the media and the people through all means, the National Conference media cell launched the party's official accounts on the social networking site Twitter and Face book." Interestingly the National Conference workers and supporters like in villages where internet is not available. The Websites [email protected] [email protected], will not, therefore, serve the desired purpose. The spokesman further said that the websites were meant mainly for the youth to enable them to reach the party. The NC leadership knows that the youth especially in the Valley are not interested in National Conference. They treat the party as a proverbial forbidden fruit. Commenting on the launch of websites, a senior NC worker expressed dismay. "The leadership has to go to the people otherwise the party shall suffer further erosion", he said. Pertinent to mention, the NC has been losing its ground across the State including the Valley. The Chief Minister was even advised by the Union Home Ministry to reach the people to address ‘trust deficit.’ |
