| Over loading main cause of frequent road accidents: DYC | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 29: Expressing serious concern over frequent deaths due to traffic accidents in twin districts of Chenab region, the District President Youth Congress Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain Advocate accused the police and transport authorities for their failure to check traffic violations.
Sheikh Nasir has said that the condition of Kishtwar Thathri and Kishtwar Padder roads is very worst "These roads have turned lethal. The condition of these roads has worsened in recent past.
There has been cent percent increase in the transport but no attention is being paid on improvement of these roads," he added.
He further said that there is no Trauma centre for this accident prone area and even the area being highly vulnerable to road mishaps has no critical care ambulances. Several critically injured persons have succumbed to their injuries in the past, in the absence of on the spot and timely medical aid.
He alleged that after every accident the police and Transport authorities start campaign against traffic violation but it has been seen that within one week the campaign is always left halfway.
Nasir stressed upon the concerned authorities to keep a check on traffic violations and has demanded Trauma Centers as well as Critical Care Ambulances at each tehsil headquarters of Kishtwar and Doda districts. |
