| District Karate Championship, 2012 Concludes | | |  early times report
Jammu , Apr 29: District karate Championship, 2012 concluded here at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Amphalla, Jammu with great success. The Championship was organized by Shito Ryu Seiko kai Karate Do J&K approved by All India karate Do Federation (AIKF) recognized by Govt. of India & Indian Olympic Association & AKAJK. About 200 karatekas from different schools of jammu District participated in the championship.
The karatekas showed great enthusiasm & fought in their respective categories & won Gold, Silver, Bronze medals . The medals were distributed among the medal winners by Sh. Anil Gupta, Vice President, All India karate Do Federation (AIKF) & Chairman Amateur Karate Do Association J&K (AKAJK) who was the Chief guest of the Medal Distribution Function/ Closing Ceremony. Sh. Ram lal , Gen. Sec, Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti presided over the function. Sh. K.C. Mehta, Principal, Army School, Akhnoor; Col. Rampal, Col. Education, Akhnoor; Ambedkar Gupta (Indian Karate Team)President & Chief Instructor, Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do J&K were the Guests of Honour who graced the function with their benign presence.
Sh. Anil gupta congratulated the medal winners & encouraged the players to perform better in the further state, National & International Championships. He emphasized the inportance of karate as sports as it inculcates discipline & self confidence among the players. He also appealed the parents to encourage the females for these sports as it can be also beneficial to them for their self-defence. Mr. Ambedkar Gupta , who has recently represented India Karate Team in International Level as Indian karate Team Coach, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the players for their performance & expressed that the players should be encouraged to outshine at National as well as International level.
The Officials were Sanjay Kumar (Organizing Secretary & 3rd Dan Black Belt), Ms. Shaveta Gupta (Black Belt AIKF), Mr. Abhishek Sharma (Black Belt AIKF & International Player), Mr. Sahil Singh (BlackBelt AIKF & International Player), Mr. Tarun Sharma (Black Belt AIKF) & Mr. Sadhaya Arora (Black Belt).
