| Horker Poyen lifts Sharjah Cup at Kargil | | | early times report
JAMMU, Apr 29: Horker Poyen XI lifted the Sharjah Cup Cricket Tournament trophy outplaying Friends Kako Chilikchey in the final played at Sarjah Ground Akchamal in district Kagil. In all, 28 teams drawn from border villages of Kargil district Participated.
In the final and prize distribution function, acting Chief Executive Councilor, Haji Ghulam Amir Kamran and MLA Zanskar Feroz Ahmad Khan were special guests. This tournament was organized by a local NGO of Akchamal (SABA). Interacting with the people and players, MLA Zanskar said that youths should focus on education as well as sports so that generation will become a competent society. He also appreciated the role of local NGO of Akchamal for organizing such an event and assured for fulfilling their demands.
Later, the NGO awarded some of the youths of the region, who have excelled in the field of education, sports etc..
On this occasion Ajaz Hussain Munshi, Sarpanch Akchamal Liaquate Ali and prominent citizens of Soth region and thousand of sports lovers were present. |
