Omar prefers BJP to Congress | Fissures in coalition | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 29: The wedge in the coalition is now clearly visible. The message has been conveyed by none other than the Chief Minister himself. He (Omar Abdullah) has been deliberately keeping the Congress MLAs away from his functions. He, however, seems to enjoy the company of the BJP representatives. Omar inaugurated 50MVA, 132/33Iq grid station at Poni Chak (Khiarian) Jammu, Friday. Neither the Congress MPS nor the MLAs were invited to grace the occasion. MLA Indu Pawar, who has been working in the constituency for the past three years, was also not invited. The function was graced by representatives from National Conference and the BJP. This was not the first time when Omar chose to keep the Congress leaders away. On April 27, Omar inaugurated B2KV grid station at Chandak Poonch. Congress MLC Jahangir Mir was not invited. However, his name was mentioned on plate of inauguration. Pawar expressed dismay and registered protest with MoS Power, Shabir Khan who represents Congress (PDD Minister). No one from the Congress party was invited nor was their name included in the inaugural plate. But NC and BJP had full representation and their names were also included in the inaugural plate", she said. She also talked with Jahangir Mir, MLC who agreed to show resentment jointly.
