Tatapani being developed under Jammu-Poonch-Rajouri tourist circuit: Mir

Tourism Minister Dilawar Mir in reply to a question by Rash Paul Singh told Legislative Assembly that the Geology and Mining department is monitoring the discharge of the spring and studying the area keeping in view all its features. Discharge of the spring needs to be kept under observation for a further period of one year before taking any decision, he said.
He said Tatapani has some tourist infrastructure, which has been raised earlier and this infrastructure is proposed to be augmented for development under tourist circuit development scheme of “Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch Tourist Circuit”. Tatapani has also been identified for development as a tourist village, he said and added that Tourism department would be asked to publicize the information that water discharge from Tatapani has resurfaced and people can come for bath in the spring.
He said the nearby spring reported by the MLA would be got surveyed.
Mr. Mian Altaf and Mr Jugal Kishore (BJP) raised suplementaries to the question.
