| PSA notice against absconding land mafia gangster issued | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Apr 30: District Magistrate Jammu had ordered the detention of a land mafia gangster under J&K Public Safety Act and directed him to appear before court with in thirty days after the notified order. Meanwhile District Police Jammu has been ordered to execute the same. Police said one notorious gangster namely Varinder Gupta @ Kaka Chichdi s/o Banarsi Dass R/o Gali No. 06 Talab Tillo, Jammu, a dreaded, dangerous, desperate and habitual criminal involved in murder, attempt to murder, assault and land grabbing cases has been issued notice under Public Safety Act, 1978 by the District Magistrate Jammu to appear before him with in thirty days from the date of publication of the notice.
"The said Varinder Kumar @ Kaka Chichdi is a History-sheeter, hardcore criminal, desperate character and habitual of indulging in acts of violence, such as Murder, attempt to Murder and assault etc. and is a close associate of known killers and land grabbers, police said further adding, "the accused has organized a land grabbing Mafia in league with one notorious and most infamous land grabber of Jammu City namely Ravinder Gupta @ Gola Shah S/o Sh. Suraj Parkash Gupta R/o 43/7 Greater Kailash, Jammu and had gone under ground to evade detention against whom a detention warrant has been issued by the District Magistrate Jammu under Public Safety Act for the maintenance of public peace and tranquillity."
The notified order so issued has been pasted outside the residential house of the subject located in Talab Tillo area in presence of the respectable of the area by Nowabad Police and further search of the subject is also going on.
