Acting CJ lays foundation stone of Lawyer's canteen in HC Complex

Jammu, Apr 30: Acting Chief Justice of J&K High Court today laid foundation stone for the Lawyer's Canteen Complex today in a special foundation stone laying ceremony organized today in High Court Complex. Acting Chief Justice of High Court Justice Virender Singh along with Justice J P Singh and Justice Yaqoob Mir jointly laid the foundation stone for the Lawyer's Canteen in presence of Distt Judiciary and Bar members. B S Slathia the President Bar Association Jammu expressed his gratitude to the then Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifulla, who showed utmost interest towards providing state-of-the-art Canteen Complex for its use by Bar members. "With the construction of the Lawyers Canteen, the much awaited demand of the Bar Association Jammu stands met, he said. He also thanked the members of the committee constituted in this regard comprising of Acting Chief Justice Justice Virender Singh, Justice Mansoor A Mir and Justice J.P.Singh for their approval, expeditious identification of the location for Lawyers Canteen and finalization of the site plan in the shortest possible time Slathia Also thanked Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for the financial help amounting to rs 90,00,000/- Lacs (approximately) towards making possible the project of the Lawyer's Canteen. Office Bearer of Bar Association Jammu Vikram Sharma (General Secretary) Parimoksh Seth (Joint Secretary), Mrs Sandeepa Sambyal (Treasurer), senior advocates and the members of Bar were present on the occasion.
