KP migrants urge expedited steps for enhanced cash relief | | | Early Times report Jammu, Apr 30 : Ashok Bhat, President, PDP Migrant Cell while addressing the demonstrators at Jagti Township expressed concern over the delaying tactics being adopted by the State Government for enhancement of cash relief in favour of displaced community. He urged the Govt. to send a formal proposal to Union Govt. immediately regarding the enchantment of cash relief in favour of displaced people from the Valley who are not in a position to make their tough times.Ashok Bhat urged the Govt. to redress the long pending demands of the Community at the earliest and immediate remedial measures be taken. Bhat said that the failure of the Govt. to grant age relaxation to over-aged unemployed Youth is cause of concern as they are in total desperation. The promises made by the Chief Minister Jb. Omar Abdullah in Apex Committee meeting that over-aged Kashmiri Pandits Youth will be given age relaxation which seems to be only hollow slogan to befool the people. PDP Miniority Cell urged the Govt. to settle this issue immediately as the future of these youth is otherwise dark .Expressing concern over statement given by Minister of State for R&B Javed Ahmed Dar at Bohri, he said that Dar Sahib does not know the facts as to why KPs were forcibly evicted from the Valley. The fact is Dr. Farooq Abdullah was at that time at the helm of affairs and he failed to protect lives and properties of KPs. Instead of taking serious action to inculcate confidence among the minority community Dr. Farooq Abdullah left the State and took shelter at London and it is astonishing that now a Junior Minister of his Party is showing sympathies towards Kashmiri Pandit Community. Also spoke on the occasion Dr. R K Pardesi, Sunil Bhat, Veerji Raina, J L Raina, Hira Lal, Vinod Koul , Chand Ji Khar and others. |
