| Gulshan wins sprint gold in PYKKA Satwari zone | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 1: Gulshan Kumar of Hakkal won 100 meters race gold in the Inter-Panchayat sports meet of Satwari zone held under PYKKA at Government High School, Jammu Cantonment, here today.
Second place in sprint went to Rohit Kumar while Akshay Kumar of Hakkal bagged third place. In this two-day competition, the girls' events shall take place tomorrow at the same venue.
The kabaddi title went to Bhore Camp, who beat Parlahadpur by four points. In volleyball final, Lachhampur emerged winner outplaying Mandal 2-1 while kho-kho final was won by Raipur Satwari beating Bhore Camp by a comfortable margin of 14 points.
Today's events were officiated by penal of technical persons including Mohinder Singh, Chander Kanta, Hardev Singh, Jatinder Kour, Jasbir Kour, Dinesh Singh, Ashok Kumar and Bunty Jad.
In the prize distribution function, Deputy Director DYSS, S S Bali was chief guest who gave away certificates to the winners and runners-up teams as also other individuals. He was accompanied by District officer Jammu, Tirath Ram and Headmistress of host school, Nirmal Raina. |
