Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) in its meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Prof Virender Gupta held here today in which all members resolved the issue of decision of State Information Commission about J&K bank and the practice of Darbar Move causing burden on state government. Morcha welcomed the concern shown by chief minister Omar Abdullah, on his tweet in micro blog terming Darbar Move as the burden on the state exchequer due to age old practice of Durbar Move.
JSM supports the Chief Minister concern and asks for discontinuing the practice of Darbar Move and added the alternatives before the chief minister is to bifurcate the civil secretariat and other state offices including the PSC, State Recruitment Board, J&K School Board, corporations, directorates and ensure their functioning at both the places, Srinagar City and Jammu City with the rotation of ministers and commissioners, turn wise from one capital city to another every month. "The other best alternative is to trifurcate or re-organize the state so that the aspirations of the people of all the regions are satisfied in best possible way by providing each region a political structure as per their wishes, the JSM leaders opinioned. JSM also welcomed the decision of State Information Commission (SIC) declaring Jammu and Kashmir Bank as Public Authority as per the Section 2 of J&K RTI Act and as such it is liable to provide information under the Right to Information Acct, 2009.
