Bhalla releases books 'Preet Lari','Maa Sheran Wali'

JAMMU, May 1: Stressing on strengthening of State's rich, floristic, ethos, amity and brotherhood, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today underlined the need for unified approach by all to achieve peace and progress.
Senior Advocate Sham Sunder Lehar, Additional Secretary Cultural Academy, Savita Bakshi, President Nami Dogra Sanstha Harish Kaila, renowned artists Yash Pal Yash besides writers, poets and artists in large numbers were present on the occasion.
Releasing two books of Mohan Dogra included 'Preet Lari' and 'Maa Sheran Wali' at function organized by Nami Dogri Sanstha at K L Sehgal hall at Abhinav Theatre.
Bhalla said that the cultural diversity of the State and richness of literature in different languages have contributed a lot in developing love bonds between various cultures and areas.
He said that literature speaks about a civilization and is rich historic treasure to know in detail about the life style of a people and the area.
The Minister said that 'Preet Lari' and 'Maa Sheran Wali' are the collections of Dogri poetries and Bhajans which are bound to create interests in the literary circles.
The Minister greeted the Mohan Dogra and Nami Dogri Sanstha in releasing such type of books to boost the Dogri through their write ups.
He lauded the effort of writer for bringing out very useful and informative books, saying it will equip the readers with all relevant information of the Dogri poetries and Maa Sheran Wali Bhajans.
He said journals of this kind are need of the hour to guide younger generation about their culture particularly towards gainful academic and professional fields as per their aptitude, talent and interest.
He complimented the Nami Dogra Sanstha for bringing out of obscurity such versatile and creative artists as Mohan Dogra.
The audience were enchanted by the welcome song, devotional song from the released book and Dogri Geet penned by Mohan Dogra. The compositions were sung by renowned artists of Jammu.
