| Submits memorandum to Div. Com | | KD raises voice against bovine smuggling | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 1: Expressing its grave concern over bovine smuggling in the State, a delegation of Kranti Dal presented a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, demanding necessary steps to stop the menace.
The delegation comprising working Chairman Anan Sharma, general secretary Pritam Sharma, Youth working president, Jagdish Sudan, Youth General Secretary Vijay Kumar, city President Rajinder Bhagat and Rajouri President Pt. Ravi Sharma urged the Divisional Commissioner to plug the loopholes while tackling with the bovine smugglers. Kranti Dal leaders said that the smuggling of animals is on high and the police is doing very less to tackle the problem.
They alleged that these smugglers are working hand in glove with the police as they cross many nakas without being checked.
Divisional Commissioner assured the Kranti Dal leaders that he would direct all the concerned DCs and SSP to take effective steps in combating the bovine smuggling. |
