| Ban on private practice of doctors, tuition by teachers | | DB issues notice in a review petition | | early times report
Jammu, May 11: In a review petition filed by Mridul Ghai and Sunil Ghai seeking review of people friendly judgment dated November 18, 2011 whereby the Division Bench of the State High Court banned private practice by doctors and also tuition by Govt teachers.
Division Bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing comprising Acting Chief Justice Virender Singh and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar after hearing Advocates Aditya Gupta and Rajat Gupta for the petitioners issued notice to state and Vichar Kranti Manch international retur-nable within four weeks and directed the registry to list the review petition after service.
In the review petition the petitioners referred that the same matter was earlier considered by this Court in a case titled Sukesh Kumar Khajuria Vs State of J&K in which the validity of rules was upheld by the then Division Bench and the said judgment was not brought to the notice of the Division Bench which returned the judgment on November 18, 2011.
The petitioners have raised other questions of law also and a prayer has been made to review the judgment dated November 18, 2011. |
