| 10 CAPD bags seized at Banihal | | |

JAMMU, May 1: Police today seized 10 bags of CAPD ration from a private watermill at Harnihal Khari in Banihal area of Ramban.
Acting on a tip-off that there were 10 bags of CAPD wheat in the watermill of Ghulam Moham-mad, son of Ahad Sihmat, at Harnihal Khari, police raided the premises and seized all the bags. During questioning, Ghul-am Moha-mmad allegedly told police that he had purchased the wheat from government ration dealer Farooq Ahmad, son of Atta Mohammad Bali of Manjoos.
A manhunt was on to apprehend the ration dealer who had gone underground, police sources said.
A case in this regard was registered at Banihal police station. |
