| PCC Minority Department holds meet | | | Early Times Reporter

A meeting of J&K PCC Minority Department was held under the chairmanship of Arvinder Singh Micky here today. While addressing Singh said that congress President Sonia Gandhi has been kind enough to appoint J&K PCC Minority Department which will look after the interests of the minorities in the State. He said congress party has all along has been helping and protecting the interests of the minorities which will continue hereafter with double strength. He said that Dist. Wise committees of the Department will come into force in the short time and impressed upon the members to select honest and dedicated members in these committees.
Vice Chairman of the committee M.L. Koul said that presently the Govt. is run by the Congress in the Centre and we pin high hopes in Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh to eradicate the problems of minorities in J&K State.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Amrit Lal Balgotra, Ghulam Ahmed Loan, P.S.Raina, C.L. Bhat, Bikram Singh, Tabrez Qazi, Haji Mohd. Afjal, Pradeep Jain, haji Mohd. Sadiq, Baljeet Singh, Marx Gill, S. Bakshi and others.
