Championing the cause of the employees and worker class Mufti Sayeed contended they would always remain the priority of PDP for he sees in them the power and strength which is needed for any political party to make its support base stronger. Riding on the slogan of the "Worker Meri Aankh Ki Putli Hai……….", which was the focus of the Party's Trade Union in organizing today's function at headquarters here, Mufti Sayeed said , "Mainey Hamesha Karkunon Ko Ankh Ki Putli samjha Hai…..Main Unhey Izzat Deta Hoon Aur Bazabta Unkey Maslon Ko Sunta Hoon….(Worker has always remained my priority…..I give them due honour and try to settle their matters…… ). Claiming that it was Healing touch Policy during his tenure on account of which employees remained major beneficiaries former Chief Minister of J&K asserted it was his firm belief that for any Government they are the sources of strength and all that is required is to channelize them in right direction. The veteran politician Mufti taking a dig indirectly at NC questioned their bit and contribution in making the lot of employees and workers better and contended their regime had done little to push forth the gains made by PDP in respect of industrialization policy and consistent efforts made during PDP regime in alluring investors to J&K with the pre condition of absorbing 90 % laboureres and technical staff from the State. Mufti maintained that his party whether in power or out of power would protect and safeguard the interests of the working class in getting right in any major project or in private sector industries. " I feel pained to see a worker of Khistwar still going deep into the forests for eking out a living….why should he go when there are many power projects at his door steps…..", PDP patron said explaining that locals have first right on jobs in the on going mega developmental projects in the State. He lamented that neither present regime nor people at the helm of the projects are giving proper attention to the welfare and importance to the locals in these projects. " I wonder why NC has failed to negotiate with Delhi in getting proper share in lieu of the resources they are utilizing for generating energy and power…….J&K in entire country is the sole state which gives India major chunk of energy but we are not getting proper share in return…" Mufti sayeed observed . |
