| A fixed match: Baig | | 'Why should Bedi Commission probe now……' | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 1: Ridiculing the outcome of Magisterial enquiry into the NC worker Haji Yousuf's death under mysterious circumstances last year, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig today took a dig at NC and described as 'fixed match' in which he alleged the whole sequence of things have been manipulated under the influence of the Government. "The whole episode has been fixed like that of a cricket match is fixed…..for God's sake please tell me those of two officers including the doctor and Assistant Commissioner who were promoted by the Government will say or dictate anything against the Government ", Baig said while talking to media outside the party office today. "How do you expect they would speak or write anything in the report against the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah…….". Baig said adding that this is the reason why PDP has been insisting from day one on impartial enquiry which is possible only after the CM steps aside. In his sarcastic way of making statements, the PDP leader also questioned the relevance of the Bedi Commission which has been constituted to probe into the matter. "If he (CM ) has really been exonerated in the matter as per the Magisterial probe report then what is the need for Bedi Commission now….?" Baig observed. |
