| Campus Sports Day on May 14 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 2: Campus Sports Committee in its annual meeting, held under the chairmanship of Director Sports, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau here today, decided to hold Annual Campus Sports Day on May 14 on the campus. Attended by 12 of the 13 committee members, the meeting besides other points on agenda finalized the date for the valedictory function of the inter-department meet for students and
sports meet for teachers and officers.
It was also decided to felicitate those who have represented University of Jammu from Post Graduate (PG) Departments in the inter-university competition held during the academic session. The PG teams, excelled in the inter-college competition, will also be honoured.
"We have finalized the date for Campus Sports Day in today's meeting. Now, we are looking forward to request Vice Chancellor, Prof MPS Ishar to grace the occasion as chief guest," Chairman of the Campus Sports Committee, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau told SAN.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Department (HOD) Statistics, Prof Rahul Gupta, HOD SHTM, Deepak Gupta, Dean Students Welfare, Prof N K Tripathi, Prof Yash Pal (Botany), Dr Shailender Singh Jamwal (History), Prof Parkash C Anthal (Economics), Dr Rakesh Vaid (Physics), Dr Prikshit Manhas (SHTM), Dr Sonam Angchok, Dr Ramesh Magotra, Dr Romesh Sharma and Dr Brij Biloria (co-opted member), all from Department of Sports and Physical Education.
However, Prof Posh Charak, HOD English could not attend the meeting. |
