| JKFA to name Santosh Trophy team on May 7 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
srinagar, May 2: Presently undergoing a 15-day long coaching camp at Polo Ground, here the state football team for the prestigious Santosh Trophy shall be announced on May seven by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA).
This was disclosed by the general secretary of the JKFA, SA Hamid while speaking to SAN, here today. At present, the 24 selected probable are being trained by J&K Police coach, Inspector, Ranjit Singh.
"Out of the 24 boys undergoing a fortnight long coaching at Polo Ground, a 20-member team will be finalized a day before their departure on May seven," said SA Hamid.
In the Santosh Trophy tournament, to be held at Cuttack in Orissa J&K has been placed in Cluster-4 with two other teams. And, in the opening match, J&K shall take on Arunachal Pradesh on May 11, followed by the second league tie scheduled for May 13 against Maha rashtra.
