Asian Taekwondo Poomsae & Kyorugi Championship | Indian team leaves for Vietnam | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 2: Indian team left to take part in Asian Taekwondo Poomsae & Kyorugi Championship to be held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 13 members team of Poomsae & 18 members team of Kyorugi will participate in the 9 days long Tournament of Poomsae (Imaginary Fighting Techniques) & Kyorugi ( Fighting). Last night 7 players of Poomsae team left for Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with Master Seunghee Lee included Ugen Gurung and Savitri Pradhan from Sikkim, Rahul Jain from Maharashtra, Tanvi Nadkarni from Goa, Anamika Walia and Jyoti Nagpal from Delhi and Atul Pangotra from J&K working in Youth Services & Sports Deptt. (Commonwealth Taekwondo Championship Bronze medalist) playing in Senior Individual Category. He is participating 5th time in a row in International Taewkodno championship. He participated in the Commomwealth Taekwondo Championship held in New Delhi in January 2011 where he won first International medal for J&K state. This is first Asian Championship for Atul Pangotra and before leaving Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Indian team trained in Bhopal SAI under the coaching of Master Seunghee Lee. |
