3 houses gutted in accidental fire

RAJOURI, May 2: In an accidental fire that breakout due to short circuit of high tension power wiring, 3 houses have been reduced to ashes while power appliances in nearly 40 to 50 houses have suffered damages in Badhoon area of Rajouri.
As per details, early in the morning a heavy tension (HT) power wire accidentally broke and fell on a low tension (LT) power wire passing nearby. Heavy fire caused as a result damaging 3 houses in the proximity. Locals of Badhoon area held a massive protest against the PDD and blocked busy Rajouri-Kalakote road for several hours thereby paralysing traffic.
They were demanding compensation for their loss suffered due to short circuit. People also shouted slogans against the administration. Later Tehsildar Rajouri and other concerned as well as district administration officials reached the spot where they pacified protestors and assured them of proper compensation.
