EJAC -Third Front & JKNTUF supports JCC's call of strike

Jammu, May 2: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) -Third Front & JKNTUF have extended support to two days strike call of JCC on May 8-9 impressing state government for implementation of the agreement signed on 15th Sep, 2011 of Srinagar. While addressing a press conference in Jammu Mohammad Gafoor Dar, Sr Leader JCC, State President Employees Joint Action Committee (Third Front) & JKNTUF alongwith endorsed the two days strike call of JCC on 8-9. Dar condemned the delaying attitude of the government which has failed to fulfill the agreement before 31st March, 2012 and thus forcing the working class of the state to go on agitation and come on streets in support of their demands. Dar appealed to all government employees & workers throughout state to observe complete two days 'Kaam Chorh Hartal' on may 8-9 and stage protest in front of their respective office complexes to press the state government for full implementation of the agreement. The speakers however appreciated the gesture of the government for releasing First installment of Sixth Pay Commission arrears and 7 % DA in cash but other demands viz, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 year, regularization policy for DRW's need base worker/casual labours, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, ICDS supervisors & pre-revised grade of 6500-10500 in various departments, budgetary support to the public sector for payment of arrears and salary to the employees are still pending and the state government is unnecessarily creating a situation.
Beside Dar other prominent leaders of EJAC who were present in the press conference included Arun Moza, Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmad Molvi, Ramesh Singh, Molvi Munir Ahmad, Pal Singh, Jaswant Singh, Raj Singh, Piran Ditta, Karan Singh Vikram Jeet Singh, Subash Baroo and Naresh Sharma.
