| SNWF demands cleaning of Shakti Nagar nallah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 2: A delegation of Shakti Nagar Welfare Forum (SNWF) met Municipal Commissioner, Jammu K.L. Khajuria and appraised him about the pathetic condition of the lanes and drains of the Shakti Nagar locality. The delegation comprising its President, Sr. Vice President Harwant Singh Bhau, Kalidas Sharma, Vice President V.K. Sawhney, Gen. Secretary A.K. Vij, Org. Secretary Jagdish Choudhary, Inderjit Gupta and Dr. Karan Singh Bhau, executive members.
Members of the delegation also informed the commissioner about the condition of the Sewer which is flowing through the locality and which creates lot of trouble, especially during rainy season.
The members requested the Municipal Commissioner to initiate the cleansing work of the nallah which is swelled to the maximum capacity before the onset of the rainy season as no cleaning work has been done of this sewer for the last several months. Municipal Commissioner Khajuria gave a patient hearing to the members of the delegation and assured them that the work of the cleaning of nallah flowing through Shakti Nagar/Rajpura shall be started at the earliest. |
