| BAJ felicitates Prof Chaman Lal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 2: Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) today felicitated Member Legislative Assembly from Jammu West Constituency, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta in an impressive gathering in Justice Vinod Kumar Gupta Memorial Hall at High Court Complex, here today.
While welcoming Gupta, general secretary Bar Association Jammu Vikram Sharma appreciated his contribution towards mitigating the genuine grievances of the lawyers fraternity. He thanked Gupta for contributing Rs Five lakh earlier towards augmenting the libraries of the budding lawyers, which proved to be of immense help to the young lawyers towards becoming better equipped professionals.
President Bar Association BS Slathia, appreciated promptness with which. Chaman Lal Gupta has responded towards infrastructural development and providing better working conditions for the lawyers community.
Slathia stated that Bar Association Jammu is a composite mixture of all religions and different ideologies and the contribution of Gupta is a concrete example of a statesmanship - above petty party-politics, for which Bar Association Jammu wanted to felicitate him.
He informed the members that by utilizing the amount of Rs Five lakh earlier contributed by Chaman Lal Gupta, Law books were provided free of cost to the young members of Legal fraternity spread across the Jammu Province.
Prof. Gupta, while addressing the gathering eulogized the services of Lawyers towards interpreting the legal principles in making the better civil society. Prof Gupta made an announcement that he shall further contribute Rs Five lakh towards improving the working conditions of the lawyers community. |
