| PDP demands release of SHDS funds | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, May 2: PDP district president Kathua Surinder Singh today urged the Union Government to immediately release the balance funds under Slum Housing Development Scheme (SHDS) to over 475 beneficiaries in Nagri Municipal area who were facing hardships due to non-payment of instalments.
Addressing a public meeting in village Pamoal area of Nagri in tehsil Kathua, Singh urged the Govt to immediately take steps to develop industrial park in this under developed and neglected area so that unemployed youth get jobs in the industries. People of the area also urged the PDP district president to take up the matter of construction of bridge over culvert Bajoo linking Kathua with Nagri and also commissioning of Toll Plaza started during Mufti Syed's regime. Surinder Singh called upon the people to agitate peacefully against the misdeeds of this NC led corrupt and inefficient govt which has totally ruined the prosperity of state. He demanded an impartial CBI enquiry into the killing of NC worker Haji Yusuf as magisterial and judicial enquiry is an eyewash to suppress the truth and shield the high-ups involved in the case. |
