Peace imperative for over all development of state: Saroori | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 2 : Former Minister and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Muhammad Saroori in his public address at Thathri on the last day of his 4 days tour of constituency has stressed the people for maintaining peace and communal harmony. He said that peace is imperative for the integration, prosperity and execution of all the development. He said that peoples' cooperation in maintaining peace was imperative. He further said that the Coalition Government is committed for equitable development of the three regions of the State. He mentioned that Central Government is providing funds liberally to ensure speedy development in the state. Lauding the secular credentials of the State, Saroori said that communal elements have no place in India and neither they have any chance to grow up in the State. He also distributed cheques amounting Rs 15 Lakh among Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) beneficiaries at Thathri. Later Saroori addressed the congress workers' meeting at Dak Bunglow Thathri in which he asked the workers to gear up for upcoming Local Body election scheduled to be held any time in June-July 2012. In the meeting Saroori also condoled the demise of Mother of Secretary Congress Block Chatroo Sajjad Hussain who passed away on Monday. Saroori also condole Tanveera Begum, 22, wife of Firdous Ahmed Rishi resident of Deller in Chatroo Tehsil who died on Monday due to electrocution. Among the prominent party workers who attended the meeting includes Sarfraz Khan (Gillu), Asgar Khangi, Iqbal Teli, Mansoor Ahmed, Muhammad Iqbal Keen, Razzak Hussain, Hasham, Master Sirwal, Akhtar Hussain and others. |
