NSS volunteers return after attending adventure camp at Arunachal | | | early times report JAMMU, May 3: A contingent of 14 NSS volunteers along with one Programme officer of the University of Jammu today returned after successfully attending 6 days Adventure camp at Arunachal trail-2, Tinsukhiya (Hayuliang/Wolong - District Anjaw). The camp was sponsored by Government of India, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, through North Eastern Council (NEC) & executed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, (National Service Scheme) under the Pilot Scheme "Youth to the Edge" organized at Hayuliang - Walong (Anjaw District) in Arunachal Pradesh from April 22 to April 27. The motto of the camp was "Adventure to the Paradise Unexpl ored". The contingent of the volunteers was received by Dr Vishav Raksha, Progr amme Coordinator, NSS, University of Jammu at the Jammu railway station who appreciated their zeal and congratulated them for representing the University at the national level camp. These NSS volunteers were selected from different colleges of University of Jammu. They were trained in adventure sports, adventure trek and also in rescue operations. |
