| Inter-school meet of Dansal zone gets underway | | | early times report
JAMMU, May 3: Annual inter-school competitions (boys and girls) of Dansal zone, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) were declared open by Deputy Director, DYSS, S S Bali at Youth Hostel Nagrota, near here today. While wrestling is meant exclusively for boys, the competition in other events of kabaddi, kho-kho and volleyball shall be held in both the sections.
Among others present were Principals of participating schools, Laxmi Dutt, Bishamber Nath, Chain Singh and Sanjay Jamwal.
Today's competitions were officiated by penal of technical staff including Rajesh Sambyal, Kulbushan Sharma, Anilshan, Anjana, Jasdev Singh, Ravinder, Kuldeep Sharma, Dheeraj Pal, Vikram Jamwal, Karnail Singh, Krish, Chander Shekhar under the Supervison of ZPEO Dansal.Jeet Singh and DSSO, Tirath Ram.

BOYS: under-17 Kabaddi: Government High School Dhammi bt Rising Star Public School 31-17; Saraswati Shiksha Nikiten bt National Accadamy Jandarh 50-32; GHS Katal Batal bt HSS Dansal 35-15; GHS Dhammi bt Saraswati Shiksha Nikiten Nagrota 50-19; HS Nagrota bt HS Katal Batal 27-14. Under-17 Kho-Kho: HSS Jhaggar Kotli bt Saraswati Shiksha Nikiten by an inning and five points; HS Dansal bt Shishu Vihar Public school by an inning and one point. Under-14: Green Field Public School Jhaggar Kotli bt. Rising Star Nagrota 10-8; MS Domail bt MS Dansal 8-7; MS Sitli Bye pass bt Divine Public school by an innings and four points; HS Nagrota bt MS Domail by an innings and four points; Green Field bt. MS Sitli Bye Pass 9-3.
