AUYCD demands appointment of local as Rector, JU's Bhaderwah campus | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 3: Association of Unemployed Youth from Chenab Division (AUYCD) today held a meeting under the leadership of Shafat Ali Bhat, president AUYCD in which large number of youth of Bhaderwah participated. Bhat informed the youth that some elements in Jammu University Administration are trying to keep Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University non-functional by always appointing non-local rector for the Bhaderwah Campus of Jammu University. He said that recently Prof M A Malik from Kashmir has been appointed as Rector of Bhaderwah Campus is giving wrong impression to the locals of Bhaderwah. There are many intelligent and dynamic professors in Jammu University who belong to Bhaderwah and have capacity to develop Bhaderwah Campus as one of the highest and transparent centre of learning in the state. But since the campus was setup at Bhaderwah some conspiracy is being hatched against the Bhaderwah by always appointing non-local Rector in the Campus. Bhat informed that maximum of outsiders are being recruited in Bhaderwah Campus and he apprehended that this time also some blue eyed persons are being adjusted in class 3 and 4 the list of which is almost finalised in VC office ignoring all land owners who were promised one job for each family by none other then Ghulam Nabi Azad. Sending a warning note, Bhat said that if this time wards of zamindars could not get jobs the youth and civil society of Bhaderwah will come out and protest against the decision of Jammu University administration. He appealed the Jammu University administration especially Chancellor, Pro- Chancellor and Vice Chancellor to change the order by appointing a local Professor of Bhaderwah as Rector Bhaderwah Campus. |
