CB books 2 for obtaining relief fraudulently | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 3: Crime Branch, Jammu has registered a criminal case FIR No.10/2009 u/s 419, 120-B RPC against two persons namely Hamida son of Duda and Ab. Rahid son of Hamida son of Gudvail Anantnag for obtaining migrant relief fraudulently. A verification was conducted by the Vigilance Organization on the basis of a report that a seasonal permit of Gujjars/Bakerwals was issued to one Hamida son of Duda R/o Gudvail, Anantnag for movement in other parts of the state by Tehsildar, Jammu. The verification further revealed that the Hamida got himself registered as migrant vide "D" Form No. 077277 in the year 1995. The "D" Form also bears the photograph of Hamida. For obtaining the migrant relief, he had opened a bank account in Canara Bank, Shalimar Road, Jammu vide A/c No. 58612 in which he was introduced by one Shakeel Ahmed whose account was subsequently closed in the bank. The account opening form bears the photograph of some other person and not of Hamida. The photograph pasted on the migrant ration card bears the photograph of the same person whose photograph is pasted on the account opening form in the name of Hamida. The migrant relief amount has been taken from the said account from time to time. The statement of Hamida was recorded during the course of verification who deposed that because of his ill health, he had authorised his son Ab. Rashid to paste his photograph on the account opening form and bank pass book on his behalf. His son Ab. Rashid is getting migrant relief from the bank. Hamida was asked to produce his son, but he failed to do so. Thus both Hamida and his son Ab. Rashid cheated the bank authorities by way of impersonation. Accordingly, a formal case under relevant sections of law has been registered in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu against the above mentioned accused persons and investigation of the case is on. |
