EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 3: Three women pilgrims died of cardiac failure while they were returning to Katra after paying obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine situated in Trikuta Hills of Reasi district, police here today said. "Three women pilgrims suffered heart attacks and died en route Katra," police said this morning one Munni Devi, 80, resident of 528, Jeevan Nagar, Model Town, Ambala Haryana yesterday fell unconscious outside the cave shrine. She was shifted to the nearby health centre but declared as brought dead. Meanwhile, in a separate incident one Saheya Bai, 70, wife of Krishna Matrey, resident of village Gansoli, Mathroli, Mumbai, also died of cardiac arrest while she alongwith her family was returning to the base camp Katra. However, one Savita, 63, resident of D-14, Pranam Society, Cheeku Bari, Shikyoli, Boriwali West Mumbai-93, was shifted to the health centre when she fell unconscious but doctors declared her as brought dead. "The pilgrims died of heart failure and the bodies have been shifted to Katra for post-mortem," police added. |
