Concern expressed over deletion of voters from voter list

Jammu, May 3: Welfare Committee Laxmipuram Sector 8-2 held its meeting under the chairmanship of S N Saproo, President of the Committee and expressed concern over the discrepancies in the voter list viz. deletion of the voters. In the meeting the members expressed their grave concern over the deletion of names in the fresh voter list of Laxmipuram Sector-8-2 in Ward No 62, many genuine voters have been deleted. "There is apprehension that all this is done fraudulently by the vested interests, members said and demanded early incorporation of names deleted and incorrect names be corrected without any delay before issuing notice for election of Municipal Corporation/ Municipal Committees.
They appeal to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister that an early action/ correction may be done in the new voter list for inclusion of all the genuine voters so that the genuine voters are able to cast their vote.
