GSCC seeks Niaz's induction in state cabinet
5/3/2012 11:30:35 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 3: Gaddi/Sippi Congress Cell (GSCC) while expressing concern over non-representation of erstwhile District Doda (Chenab Valley) in general and newly carved District Doda in particular in State Cabinet has demanded induction of senior congress leader and MLA Bahderwah Mohd Sharief Niaz in the council of ministers. State president GSCC Dr Suril Singh Uttam said that one gets astonished as to why State Govt. as well as Congress High Command is sleeping over the issue. District Doda has lagged behind by three years in developmental activities owing to its mis-representation/non-representation in NC-led coalition Govt; where almost all the ongoing works/projects started during the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad have come to a grinding halt thereby raising the degree of backwardness of the area (Chenab Valley) on all fronts and decreasing the credibility of Congress gradually in the area. The electorate is worried as to why the region has been neglected by the Congress High Command despite having 5 legislators of Congress party whereas District Jammu alone has 4 ministers of the Cabinet rank who have never bothered to visit Chenab valley and interiors and instead have restricted their activities to their respective constituencies only which is quite strange and rather very sad.It is thus impressed upon the Congress High Command and J&K PCC to consider induction of Niaz, in the Council of Ministers against available quota to save the credibility of Congress and to respect the sentiments of electorate, Uttam said.
